Some one stole my still

Post by runingkind »

I made a pot still from a 15gallon keg,30' of 1/2" copper tubing.I had a 55 gallon drum for the worm to sit in with a hole in the bottom side to let the water out.Run a pond pump from a creek to the drum.Burner was a turkey cooker.I took it way back in the mountains sit it up.I ran a 10 gallon sugar wash.It came out very good on the first run.I bottled the hootch and took it to the house, my house is about 20 miles away. The next day I went back to clean the boiler and make my second run and every thing was gone.Even my fermenting buckets.Where it was hid I never thought any one could find it.
I have a pot still with a condesor jacket and a reflux still each with their own boiler. It just pisses me of that some one would do that.I wanted to try it like the old timers. It was a great feeling being out in nature making booze like they did in the old days.Well back to the shed now, even though I lost my rig I
think it was worth it for the rush it give me.Now I know how the old timers felt when there stills were destroyed.except for the going to prison part.
I will make another And hide it better next time.I hope the people that stole it
can make good booze and enjoy it as much as we do.

have a great day guys

You have a shed and ya intentionally were distillin' in the woods, AND ya left yer gear there?

Sounds like yer tryin' to get in trouble.

never ever keep your outfit together
you look you some evergreens put that keg in a camo ruck sack an climb.
when you get over 20 you tie some lims together - dont cut em just draw em together- an tie that ruck sack in em against trunk. most folks aint lookin up unless huntin. you take that worm out of that barel tie a string to it an sink it in that pond an tie that strring under that bank somewhere. your barel you want it rusty an beat all up. you throw it down in the weeds an docter it up with a sack of trash. they sale rubber conecters in plumbin supply place that got hose clamps that will hook worm back to barrel. as far as your beer - have you ever heard of stump hole. that burner you need to take apart from fraim an throw the fraim down an tote the burner with you. closest any of this stuff should be togetrher is 100 yds . most folks is skitsh an want hunt around long unless they seen you leave or they is the law
what tracks they leave
i wouldnt be goin back there for awhile

Yup that would work for sure! .....or else you could just do it in your shed
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat all day and drink beer.
