anyone try Hacienda de Chihuahua sotol?

I just picked up a bottle of this to try. I love it. I got the plata. You can taste the smoke and the sotol and its just plain good. ANyone else like sotol?

I very much want to try to make something like this, but the ingredients are hard to find. If anyone has any stories or advice, I'd love to hear.
