Did a search on the subject and didn't find anything, when you guys filter with coffee filters do you use the white bleached ones or the brown ones that are not treated with chlorine? The bleached ones are safe for coffee i assume, but what about high proof alcohol? Think its leeching chlorine out of the filter and into my drink?

I've noticed an off taste when water is run through coffee filters and or cotton balls and have been wondering the same thing. I use the brown unbleached coffee filters, but I don't need to use them that much.

No off taste here. But, then again, I'm filtering UJSM. Sour Mash flavor is a little bit hard to add a bad taste to, unless you overdo wood or pepper or something like that.
