sugar wash acidity

Sugar, and all about sugar washes. Where the primary ingredient is sugar, and other things are just used as nutrients.

sugar wash acidity

Post by partonken »

ive just started a sugar wash using 6 kg of sugar, 22 litres of water, 2 tsp of lemon juice, 2 tbsp of DAP, 1 small can of tomato paste, and 2 Tbsp of distillers yeast pre-started for 1 hour in luke warm water and sugar.

It has been sitting there for 2 days now, and still nothing. My acid is about 3, and im wondering if thats a bit too low. Some wine people aim for 3.5 so i think im close.

I airated the wort before starting.

any ideas? Thanks
