HAPPY HOLIDAYS Y'ALL

Post by As-Ol-Joe »

First, I would like to say, that the vast knowledge and the intense passion that you folks have for this hobby has been an absolute thrill to me. You have helped newbies like me to stay on the right path and avoid possible trouble. You keep giving me ideas and my brain works overtime trying to improve what I have.

Second, I know it will probably never happen, I would consider it a priviledge to meet each and everyone of you.

HOLIDAY CHEER TO ALL :D

I'd be too nervous thinking my hooch wasn't up to scratch!
It is most absurdly said, in popular language, of any man, that he is disguised in liquor; for, on the contrary, most men are disguised by sobriety. ~Thomas de Quincy, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater, 1856

Best wishes to all of you and your families during the holiday season.

I'd love to sample products you guys were proud to share, that's for sure. World class spirits all around.

If we could gather I'd want to do what my brewing pals used to do. They'd all take one exact same recipe and brew it, then they'd compare products. Sometimes they'd leave the choice of yeast up to the brewer to sample how different one recipe can be from brewer to brewer. Having everyone distill off the same thing for comparison would be quite interesting.

i agree, it would be nice to meet some of you guys some day, i know of 1 or 2 members that have to be withiin a half hour drive of me (i can figure this out by reading posts) but i don't wanna make em nervous with a private msg. about meeting each other....... think that's odd ??

Not sure there'd be a lot of variation on the UJSM. I would make mine just like I used to as sort of a "control" group.

I think a cooked corn whiskey or something would be better for diversity. Maybe someday they'll be smart enough to make small scale home distillation legal and we'll see.
