respect
This may end up at the bottom of this forum soon, but i just wanted to let you all know that I am very thankful of the respect in this forum. I have been a member of several forums and quite often treated like crap. Here, even though some members demand that newbies read and research, it seems they reply with a greater amount of respect and consideration than other forums.. Once again, Thank you. I am proud to share a hobby and forum with y'all.
Cheers

I enjoy the forum for the same reasons, people seem honest as well. They don't mind admitting mistakes and learning something from them.
It is most absurdly said, in popular language, of any man, that he is disguised in liquor; for, on the contrary, most men are disguised by sobriety. ~Thomas de Quincy, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater, 1856

I have to agree, this is a different forum - I suppose because the kind of people interested in distilling are of much higher quality than your normal run of the mill person. At least that is my theory and I am sticking to it
I have also noticed that since the Novice section was installed that any question posted in there tends to get a patient answer. That was a good move, it seems to have filled a real need and relieved the one and only complaint I have read about this board.

I also find that I have to agree with all the above comments. The only problem I have with this forum is that I spend far to much time either in here or in the shed practicing what I've just read in here.

put a computer in the shed and then run some probes to the still so you can output real-time data via MRTG or something so we can analyze it online.

The 13th commandment, "THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBORS STILL".
Yeah, right, with this copy of Play-still, here in our face, with centerfold pictures? Ha! Soon there will be a 14th, "THOU SHALT NOT MAKE ANY COPPER IMAGES"!
Or so the spirits speak after after a fermented apple or 2!
