Howdy. You might have learned some stuff from reading here, but if you have been stillin for over 30 years, I am sure there are one or two things you could teach us.

And I would love to see a pic of that coiled Liebig.

Welcome digger. Anyone with a name like that will find a soft spot with us Aussies.
That avatar looks as if it could be some of your own stilling gear.
Care to post some pics so we can see some detail.
Cheers.

that things made out of three kegs that were shoot to hell
http://i26.tinypic.com/hrizad.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
the big one in the middle is the pot and the other two fit like a pot lid, done it as a makeshift till i could build another but liked the ease of cleaning so good i kept it,just slide together and seal with rye flour and let her rip.

it works quite well, leaves enough headspace so its never puked into the coil, the rye seals good enough till you can pick the hole thing up and it full.

Well, I ain't from down Murphy way, but, I think I make a respectable home-brew.
I recently semi-retired here. Originally from Raleigh. I am new to home-brewing, but the old-timers here seem to like my gifts. I am close to Cherokee. Franklin, Sylva, and Waynesville . They are just down the road. I welcome you as all others have been very friendly here . Uncle Jessie has made a great place for us all to get together.

I know about those stiff hands, cold mountain weather is a bitch.
Take another sip of rheumatiz medicine, thats what I do.
I was also in the SF Bay area, but in the late 70's. It was crazy, huh?

Really, I am not worried about the ATF. They have bigger fish to fry than a home-brewer like me. I asked the local authorities about this before I started and they told me as long as it is for your own use don't worry about it. But, for safetys sake, how do I edit?

I know you are not suppose to post while drinking, but, I plead guilty :)

Thanks, Digger, I am somewhat stupid when it comes to this kind of thing...how did you get your nick, was it because you have a grading company? Ever ridden a Harley?

I dug graves for a while as well for a co. out of owingsville ky.It was a Corp of Engineers job. I don't have a bike at the present. I rode until about 10 years ago. Had some legal problems and had to sell the bike. Last bike I had was a 76 HD FXE Custom Built, It was sweet, Not into bikes that much anymore, but would like a small Triumph, or sporty bike to ride around on.
