Built a pot still...12 qt stock pot..5"x17" lyne arm followed by a 26" liebig..I cooked down a few bottles of cheap store bought wine for my first run..Made the cuts as best as my nose and tongue would allow..lol..
First Question--
I was wondering if after a single run,should the product still have a slight wine smell to it?
Second Question--
To make a sweet flavored alcohol could I buy some cordial cherries and add them syrup and all right to my shine?If so would one small jar of them to about half a liter of shine be an ok mix to get a decent flavor?
wine/brandy smell + taste?
