I live hhmm lets say not to far from this place. Don't wanna give myself away to much here
About a mile down the road from this place is where Christopher Reeve had his tragic horse accident "Commonwealth park"
I know a guy that knows a guy who knows the guy who owns this distillery. lol.
I might have this wrong, But I heard it was up for sale? Might just be here say. It reopens on 4-01-08 this spring.

The Copper Kettle Whiskey Aint bad at all.
Story goes he bought the Still that he makes his Copper Kettle Whiskey in from the FBI. They busted somebody and confiscated it then sold it to him. Now thats just here say again, But I will ask when I go there.
Check it out...
I used to live in Colonial Beach about ten years ago. Must have been through Culpeper a thousand times and never dreamed of something like that being put there. I am guessing they are trying to hook on to some of the tourism that is being brought into Fredericksburg with the George Washington's historic distillery at Mount Vernon. I haven't seen that yet either but it has been making the news from that area too.
Jest joking got all i can take care of but just thought that if the FBI
is selling them stills cheep Id buy one I mite have to show them my setup and explain how I want to up date - maybe throw in a cuple jars
of shine as good maser ?
Hey Pinto I lived in Lake of the Woods for years. Between Culpeper and Fredicksburg on RT 3. Spent many weekends at Colonial Beach as a kid/teenager mostly fighting the jellyfish back lol. Never seen so many jellys in my life!
Have you been to the distillery in Fredricksburg before? "Virginia Gentlemen"
Directions to the distillery..When you came down RT 3 to Culpeper you hang a left on RT 15 towards Orange go about 5-6 miles to Commonwealth park "on left" Distillery is about a mile past on the right. Cant miss the sign.
The funniest thing is, They built that new State Prison right behing the distillery! He can probably see it from his back yard. Wonder if they can smell him cooking?
The guy that owns the distillery use to be a contractor "Again so I was told"
The guy that told me this says Ive met him before
Hoping when I see him I'll remember him Even better he'll remember me
I take it that you've moved out of VA now...

Dnderhead lol I hear ya.. showing them what you need, they'll probably pop the trunk of there car and have what you need. Everybody knows that the cops have the best Drugs and I'm sure the FBI has the best of Everything lol
You live in a small town your self. Its not what ya know, Its Who ya know that counts
Yes, I moved on. I was working for the DOD at NSWC Dalgren on the UAV program as a GS12 before it got before it got contracted out to General Atomics. Got tired of the politics and moved back to Kentucky to be more near my family.
Good thing you moved my friend. Dam contractors been building houses anywhere and everywhere they can. Rt 3 is dual laned all the way to the Burg. Culpeper, Warrenton, and Orange Locals Aint liken all the city folk moving in. They have right ups in the paper telling the City folk how to blend in. I'm serious! Says they should buy a fishing pole and a shotgun so you'll have something to talk about with your neighbors.
I was considered a Come-Here since I didn't go to school there and talked with my strange KY accent. I fished kentucky ways and they all laughed at me not using blood worms and preferring nightcrawlers, and not using steel leaders and just putting a #8 gold Aberdeen hook with a pinch of nightcrawler and drifting it off the peer. That is until I was catching 6 and 8 lb croakers and 10 lb white cats out of the Potomac and the Rappahannock rivers. My tales of the 50 and 60 lb flatheads was laughed at too until I showed pictures. But we all had a good time sipping all night long in Catfish tournaments at the little place just off 3 on the Rappahannock. It was a fun place to live. It reminded me of the place we have in Kentucky called Land Between the Lakes.
I was thanking these cities , villages have regulation ware as
you cant have animals ,have to mow lawn etc maybe we county
folk should have the opposite you have to have gardon you lawn has to
be 6" be for you can mow, you have to have animals etc
Isn't that the distillery that is featured in the "inside moonshine" program that froggy is upping.
It is most absurdly said, in popular language, of any man, that he is disguised in liquor; for, on the contrary, most men are disguised by sobriety. ~Thomas de Quincy, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater, 1856
Cant forget about a few Yard birds to kick around lol.
Would love to throw an old rooster loose in a new subdivision around here.
I bet they never heard one before in there life. Dam thing singing at 5am.
I bet they would call the cops All freaked out Better yet, Watch them try and catch it.. Should have bought a shotgun like the paper says too
Pinto.. Spent many days fishing the Rappahannock river for stripers.
We launch in Old Town "Burg" and head up river. Catch them big time in the Spring spawn. Seen the river look like soup before..
Ever fished Smith MT Lake? Thats the area where they keep catching the State record. buddy of mine has a sweet deck boat. He takes people out on Lake Anne "Orange VA" during the summer time. Nice little business he's got going there. He cant charter yet on the bigger lakes. Different license and more headaches!
We hit Smith MT Lake twice a year. Spring and Fall and hunt the big striper's.
Hook on a nice phat LY or gizzard shad Roll it up on the bank and hold the F on! Ive never been on a lake where its 150ft deep right off the bank.
I wintered twice up on Walkers Mountain--little place called Bland. I know some good bear hunters from that country. Them boys got me into gamefowl and I've wasted a fair bit of money on roosters from Thompson Valley.
