paint cans?

Post by noobstiller »

On the home distiller page there is a plan for a still that uses a paint can for a boiler, and a smaller one for a thumper. Is this safe? Ive got hundreds of paint cans laying around, so i could defiantly do this if its safe.

If I remember correctly the paint that you are talking about were new and unused. Personally I wouldn't use them.

I did not see the info on the paint cans, but aren't they aluminum?

It has been done before but the life of the still will be very limited.
If you are going to spend time and money on building a still, build one that has a chance of lasting for a while.
Cheers.

Good move.
An even better move if the cooker is a stainless one.
Cheers.
