Re: watcha paying for fuel today?
I sort of feel your pain JD, had another one of them there unsupervised female drivers did a U-turn in a construction zone and plowed into my truck. She's at the hospital, my truck that is, don't think it even phased the stupid woman. She almost got her friend killed though. I'm perfectly fine except I had to get FORD as a rental, my dad loves Fords and he even gripes about this one when he gets in it. I'll probably spend 6 weeks in the chiropractor after I get my truck back and out of this spine crusher.

Alberta Oil has me baffled...
Canada does export more oil to the States than the Middle East, yet we consistently have higher prices -in Canada. - Must be all the taxes used to support those who chose not to work...
I just paid $1.34 per liter for my Mercedes Sprinter Van (diesel). Last time I fueled up it cost me exactly $100. Today it cost $130. Damn good thing it's so efficient, or I'd be a little depressed.
The U.S. has many options they continue to refuse.
1) Safe and Efficient Nuclear Energy for Electrical Generation. Instead, Oil and Coal still dominate..?
2) Tapping massive reserves in Northern Alaska, and the Pacific Coast. The argument that the wildlife would be jepardized in (ANWAR) AK is unwarranted. I worked in Prudhoe Bay just after the pipeline was flowing. Carriboo and other animals are actually attracted to the pipeline, and pumping stations for shade, and to take advantage of the high-powered fans to get relief from mossies... Thirty years later there have still been no significant disasters on the Northern Slopes. U.S. Liberal do-gooders prefer foreign dependence when it comes to essential energy.
I'd love to stay home, and distill some fuel for my neighbors -just doesn't seem that efficient for the amount of energy required -need a solar powered still, and some weeds with a high sugar content.....

The price of diesel is crap its the least refined and they a ripping us big time on itHawke wrote:$3.74 regular - $3.95 premium in S.E. Washington. Diesel @ $4.69
Re: watcha paying for fuel today?
Diesel is artifficially high, has been for about 15 years. When the Demo-libral-socialists mandated low sulfer for road use. Even with the extra refining, it should be 20 to 30 cents a gallon cheaper than regular unleaded.

Re: watcha paying for fuel today?
I'm paying $95.00 for a fillup every other day. Fuel bill's running 900-1000 every month. Can't keep up this pace, gonna have to go to work at McDonald's. Costing over $2000 a month to operate a $25,000 vehicle.

Re: watcha paying for fuel today?
guys it's a price of gas thread not a political thread, ok? we can gripe all day about taxes on one side or the fact that Exxon is bleeding us for record profits. this isn't the place to get political.
I hear diesel is so expensive at the moment because many Europeans are driving turbo-diesels (I drive one too.) I don't believe that excuse though.
