I'm just starting out (been reading everything for a couple of months)and have a question.I know i read on here not long ago about storing mash but i can't find it.Can i store a basic sugar mash once it's finished in a spare ss keg.Thanks for any tips.

keep it closed so no contaminates can git to it and leave the co2 on top

As long as it's sanitized and pretty much airtight you should be able to store it there for a while. How long are you thinking?

Distill it, then you can store it as long as you want

Thats my problem i'm still waiting for a couple of bits to finish my still(live in small country town)and i thought i might kick the mash off before i finish the still.

Put it in a Cornie keg or carboy and put it in the fridge. The cold will help settle it as well.

what your beer testin. you bung it up itll keep awhile if you get mold aint no problem

if your wash is about 12% abv then it will last a long time. just like wine...
If you have a lot of unfermented sugars then you have a much higher chance of mold.
just like wine, you have to have everything clean and protect it from oxygen.
