What do you do when your distillate tastes of baking soda.

My last run had to many esters so I put some bicarb in my next run. Well I probebly used to much because even after a stripping run and a spirit run it still has the smell of baking soda and a slight taste of it. I could Should I try running it again but before I do is there something else I can try? What about adding some citrus fruit?
