silver wire

Post by casino_boy »

Hi
I have been a brazer for over 7 yrs (working with silver wire and steel tubues)and thought that I would try and build a still head for a small still for redistilling of brandy.
What wire would work best.
For torch what works good? (I allwas used two torches to heat parts up to hand braze)
Thanks for any help given

And i use a much higher heat than what is reqired some one must have a prefence.

Preferably silver/tin or copper/tin without other metals/minerals added. Have seen 'lead free' solders with antimony or selinium added. May be safe for drinking water but, how does it react with hot alcohol vapors?
