Hello All,
I was just looking up the vitamins in tomato paste. It is high in Vitamin A and C. Could one just add these vitamins to the mix, getting around having to
use the paste? I'm thinking so. My question would be how much of each should I use in a 6 gallon wash?
Thanks!

Re: Tomato Paste
yes yeast likes B vitamins also and do not forget about something for nitrogen ( Dap, 20 /?/? fertilizer --beets ,turnips lettuce ?)
came back to add zinc
you can take a man out of distilling --but
you cant take the distilling out of the man

Re: Tomato Paste
A 6-oz can of tomatoe paste is like 69 cents here in rural expensive Canada--and in a 6 gallon wash the flavor won't carry over. Vitamins from the drug store would be more expensive. Why bother?

Re: Tomato Paste
tomato paste works great for neutral washes
theres a great recipie for it in the tried and true section
basically all you need for it to work is water sugar and tomato paste. you can add extras like some citric acid for PH balencing (lemon juice) or epsom salts and crushed multivitimans for extra nutrients

Re: Tomato Paste
I've used two multi-vitamins for a 6 gallon wash in place of tomato past and have found it to be sufficient. No off flavors or colors either.
