MR. Distiller Question -

Post by venom760 »

Good Morning|Evening Everyone,

Have a question I keep coming up couple liters short maybe you can help. Not sure if anyone has seen the videos on Mr. Distiller but there are some pretty easy instructions on how to distill with a counter top distiller. Here is what I have done and maybe you can help.

*Single Distills Only

3 Cups Sugar
15g of Turbo YEast
5 Day Fermentation
Came out with 1 Liter 80 Proof

6 Cups Sugar
15g of Turbo YEast
5 Day Fermentation
Came out with 1 Liter 110 Proof

3 Lbs Sugar
15g of Turbo YEast
5 Day Fermentation
Came out with 1 Liter 120 Proof

3 Lbs Sugar
30g of Turbo YEast
5 Day Fermentation
Came out with 1 Liter 120 Proof

3 Lbs Sugar
15g of Turbo YEast
12 Day Fermentation
Came out with 1 Liter 120 Proof

2.5 Cups Honey
15g of Turbo YEast
5 Day Fermentation
Came out with 1 Liter 110 Proof

Well I guess here would be the question, I guess to my dismay, I havent been able to create a full gallon of liquor. Wonder what I am doing wrong. I have done some tests and tried many things but I guess I will leave it up to the experts, and maybe someone out there will know what I am doing wrong. Dont get me wrong the single liter I am producing is cool, but I hope it would be possible to not to waste so much of the mash | wash.

1hr Warm up time,
1Discard 1st SHOT
1st 750ml comes out 120proof
next 1/2 liter drops well beyond 80 proof so once that proof drops to zero even if the unit has 2.5 - 3/4 of wash still in the distiller is will only yeild water beyond that.

Helplessly looking for a ascended being that is beyond my delima.

thanks,

Dman
