Re: my sstill design in the making
They did come out, i'd say a moderator deleted them for the sheer size of em.
Try shrinking to under 700 pixels square for manners.

You may consider taking a loot at this post and associated plans...
http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... =16&t=5595
Pintoshine has put a lot of effort and detail into his design of a mighty fine still.
and he has done an eaven better job at documenting it for others to make..
there are instructional videos on youtube to help you as well..
goto http://www.youtube.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow and do a search for "pintoshine".
hope this might save you some time
cheers..

Re: my sstill design in the making
Looks terrific! But I think it'll work a lot better if you made it in copper, lol...
Re: my sstill design in the making
Oh , thats the problem , didnt know it was suppose to be made of copper . Dang thing kept on catchn on fire.
Re: my sstill design in the making
Wait till you go to buy the copper sheet to make it..

Re: my sstill design in the making
nice job, however its hard to beat the design that Pinto has already come up with.
I've already built a 5 litre one, for the stove top, and I'm about to laying the groundwork for a 20 gallon one in stainless (modified design with stubby column, much like a scotch whisky still)

Re: my sstill design in the making
I had to order the copper sheets from out of state Tennesseeeee . , couldnt find what i needed in my area . It will cost 300+ bucks for the copper ,3 foot by 8 foot .
Re: my sstill design in the making
I do have a drawn up picture done with a cad program with all the measurements , if anyone is intersted in it , just let me know and I will post a pic of it .
Re: my sstill design in the making
Heres the drawing of the still with all the measurements . Might be a little hard to see some of the lines due to we used colored lines to seperate each individual piece. If you see something that needs a change jsut let me know.

Re: my sstill design in the making
well thought I would have been alot further with the build. I had all my copper pieces cut out for still . Went into the shop on a monday morning and to my surprise it grew legs and left , along with a 3 foot by eight ft piece i bought for another prodject . I never felt so violated , but can only blame myself for not securing it better . So I have to go back and get more copper and continue with the build . It depressed me alot so put it off for a couple weeks . Once I get the prodject going again I will post pics . Oh and since the copper bandit insident , I have had survailance cameras placed in the shop , best part of that it was done for free .

Maybe if you go back in time, you can get the plans. This is a 5 year old thread!
Easiest way to avoid being on a TTB list is to not purchase a boiler, full column, or condensor from a retailer. Build your own.

Here's a link to Pint's plans if you're interested. http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... 16&t=27074Hillbillyman wrote:I would lov to hav plans on your pot
And like decoy posted, goto https://www.youtube.com/ and search for pintoshine and you'll find some videos on cutting out the plan and constructing it.
