Corn Starch?

Post by Wohzah »

I recently posted about this in another thread and the idea continued to intrigue me. Would it be viable to use pure corn starch watered down a little and then fermented to make a wash? If so any thoughts as to the final products?
-Thanks

It could be done but you whould need enzymes, need to stir continulously or use the SOP method ( to keep the starch from settling)
and you whould not have any flavor to speak of. you'd be making "corn syrup". Iv tried corn syrup and it tasted like something like cider.
