I finally got back and did another water run. Resolved some issues, exposed some more.
I cut a 55 gal plastic drum to house the worm and drilled a hole just small enough to allow the 3/8" worm to exit at the bottom. I cleaned it out and sealed around the tubing with silicone. Worked very well.
I reheated the pin-hole leak where the copper column meets the SS lid, and added more silver solder. Didn't work too well.
I was very carefull with the alignment of my union connection from the Lyne arm to the worm. Worked very nicely. Just snugged it tight and no leaks!! Thanks LWTCS!!!
I added several more "nipple-biting bulldog Jesus clips", and paid more attention to how I made and applied my flour dough paste. Worked very well. Thanks to Rad and GingerBreadMan!!!
I charged the boiler with about 3 gal of H2O and fired up. Good boil after about 25 min. and output began at a fast drip. I left it for about 30 min. and began checking for leaks. Sadly, my original pin hole sill exits. I cranked up the heat and continued to monitor for leaks. I found another small leak where I butt soldered the 2" lyne arm to the 3" column. Maybe my design was a little beyond my soldering skills. I continued to collect for about an hour. Even with the two leaks, I was able to adjust the heat to change the output from a slow drip to a steady, small stream.
I plan to continue with water runs until I get satifactory results and then do a vinegar and water run and then a cheap alcohol run. I have the supplies to start a DWWG wash but , haven't started it yet.
