Novice question from a novice distiller. Pleaser help.
Havent built my first still yet but had a friend of mine give me a 6 gal stainless pot w/ lid tonight. Ive researched the pot still method and would like to use this method. my question is, Is there a sheet of cork or gasket material I can buy to cut out to place between the actual pot and lid? Rather than having to make the water/ flour paste mix? I plan on then clamping the top to the pot just in case yall were wonderin. Opinions welcome. But I am wanting to use the pot, mason jar thumper, and coil condenser. I will also be going with the hot water heater element as a heating source, I have read on other posts that 4500w wide open is too much heat, therefore the light dimmer switch is hooked up to the element?
