Let it age a few weeks - the smell will decrease. What is your water source? a well?
Water or higher fermenting temps can cause that sometimes.

Was there any similar smell during fermentation? Most lager yeasts and some ale yeasts will through off SO2 to make your house smell like a sewer pipe broke. Like astrangebrew says give it some extra time and see how it is.

I would rack it if you haven't already. And if you have, I would do it again. Good luck, bd.

It smelt like SO2 all through the fermentation. After 7 days i racked it, and it tasted fine, but definetly better and less S)2 smell. Ill let it sit for a week and see, if its ok ill bottle it. Cheers!

I my be picky but I would let it age in a cool dark place (after racking)for 2 weeks . If it still smells I would dump it. To me the whole thing is taste and smell. If it tastes ok but smells rancid I wouldnt be proud enough of it to share with any friends. Also the more you rack it off the more of a chance you get of contamination. I would rack it once and see how it goes.
good luck

Lager it out.

I don't know what yeast you used but bottom fermenting yeasts tend to smell like rotten eggs during and after fermentation. Stick it in the frig and let it lager out. It can take a long time, I've had some that took months, but the smell will dissipate.

If it starts to taste bad then it's contamination, but you said it tastes fine.

cheers

I alwase bottle every beer i make even if i think its going to be a bad one. I botteld one that was realy rank and let it sit for almost a year. It turned out to be a realy good brew. Bit of a gusher but good nun the less.
