Putting older posts here. Going to try to keep the novice forum pruned about 90 days work. The 'good' old stuff is going to be put into appropriate forums.
Yeap this fools gone crazy... Every year when i plant the garden i put my okra/peas in a quart jar and fill it up with bleach and the next morning the seed are already sprouting (small little roots coming out) and in 4 -5 day after planting they are coming up... So my question is can you pour a little bleach& water in your grains that you going to malt for a couple of hours then drain /wash and refill your gain back up with water to speed up the process Going to try 1 batch to see what happens and another batch the traditional way... It would be like using a yeast bomb and maybe keep ergot out of the picture ? Think the bleach would kill my enzymes too ??
