You seasoned veterans who do this as a "craft" versus "hobby", Which do you find to be the best? I want some damn good strong apple brandy. I drank about an inch out of someone's glass about a year ago, then tried to find the door. No alcohol taste. (I guess that means it was a APD).
I see apple pie with honey, I see mock apple with white sugar, I see applejack with brown sugar. Could one of you please guide me just a little. Looks like all 3 are an entirely different tasting recipe....therefore different taste. Thanks

Yes...now I have to add apple shine and apple drink.....darn...decisions,decisions. Under that post of mine about "Garage Sale- LOL" I told you I had all this shine..many gallons that were not real good. I was going to dilute to 40% and make a "cleaning" run (spirit run really) then thought I could "get rid of that and my feints in some good old Christmas time apple brandy, apple shine, apple drink, apple mock, apple pie, applejack. GEEZ....................one of each???? LOL-I want Apple Pants Dropper Brandy. Thank you

I made myself some o' that about a year ago. I bought some fresh cider from the grocery store, no preservatives and fermented and distilled it. It was a small batch and I didn't get much from it, but it's the best stuff I've made so far. This year I was going to make a much larger batch, but this year the store didn't have the same cider I used. I'm going to have to improvise and soon because there's not much left.Cornbread wrote: I want some damn good strong apple brandy.
