My copper Nixon-Stone still

Post by winestill »

My whole still is made out of a copper.
It's a 42 mm column, 1.07 m in height, and is made out of a copper.
The total size of the still is around 1.55 m in height.
The pot is 32 liters.
The stove has two elements, one is 800W and the other is 1500W. I only use the 1500W.
The condenser is a cold finger, 35 mm in diameter and has a 12 mm inside it.
It's lenght is around 30 cm which goes into the still, but its total lenght is 45 cm.
It's not good condenser but it does its job. When I did no reflux the vapour did get out from the output.
So I found the cheapest solution and bought a vinyl tube and glued it to the output line.
It's ugly but id does its job.
