I have tried too find out on site but unfortuneatly i can not find it or becuase I am one of those people that need too see it or have someone show me i can not figure it out . does it take this long or not. I will figure out the rest in time.

first you need crushed "base malt" then if the rye is malted crush that also, if the rye is not malted then it needs to be cooked.
if both is malt ,crush and add to hot water (155f) (at the rate of 2lb to the gal.)stir,, in about 5 min. you will see it work .
hold at 150-155f for about 1 hour.

if the rye is not malted it needs to be crushed and cooked. this will take about 45min-60 min. cool to 155f add crushed barley malt.
you will need about 1/4 malt to grain.

if I knew just what you had I could give better instructions.

wint back and seen your other post it is not going to work as you need 1/4 base malt for the enzymes. you mite better add some sugar
and use similar to UJSSM.

with what you have Id add sugar/water to it so you do not wast it, that is basically what UJSSM is you can do sweet mash or sour mash
as described hear--http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=725

some pearled grain can be malted depending how much it has been processed.but that is a hole other ball game.
or you can use malted grain from a brew shop. malting is not that hard if no brew shops are available.
but it is to late for what you have.
