Bentonite And When To Use It? When To Remove It?

Thanks so very much for the help. I will be using Bentonite to take out contaminants from my wash before I put it into my reflux still. I can't seem to figure out the proper way to implement the Bentonite into my wash. Some people say blending and letting it sit for 24 hrs, some say dump it in. My wash's are currently holding at 23C of 23 liters each. And I just hydro-metered them at roughly 9% each after two weeks. I just need to figure this out before I get to the distilling stage as it helps to not gunk up the still apparently, and this seems less messy then liquid carbon filtration.
