Hi Folks,
I have some mason jars with glass lids which are perfect, but don't want to use the rubber gasket to seal the lid to the jar. How do you guys seal your jars? Thanks,
Brew

I just use the mason jar seal but I dont put in any likker over 60% ABV. I dont have any off flavor. As far as high proof I use glass milk jars, I bought some 1 1/8 inch diameter dowel rod and made wood stoppers to seal them up with. You have to sand the edges to make them work but they are great.

A perfect seal is not the best. Let it breathe sort of like a cask will do and it will age in the glass. I would go for the glass to glass and let a little breathing happen through the gaps.
