Hello all i just got dropped off 9 lbs of ID Carlson laaglander dried malt extract Light from a friend moving out of state.
What i was wondering was can i use this in place of the sugar i use in my whiskey?
I use the sugar to increase the sg to 080 in the wort after i convert the corn rye with enzyme's (yes i do both enz & malted barley)
I am using 8 lbs of corn gristed ,2 lbs rye, 2 lbs malted barley.
Can i use this just like the sugar or should I boil allso with the rest?
What do you sugest?
