In order to get a higher abv in a single pass, couldn't the top of the vapor path be quenched to generate some reflux? This still would lend itself to that by placing a damp towel on top? Is this ever done? O'Mahony

The cool factor for this still is through the roof! HD member "Rednose" had posted this photo to another thread.

Or not.As far as this still goes, I would say the large surface area on the neck of this beauty lends it's self to incorporating some reflux.
