The other thing you want to be sure of, is if the tat will carry through your life. Do you really want to be sporting a punisher tat 20 years from now? Will it possibly cause problems with jobs? Women? Is it REALLY you? Have you considered what your body will do in the next 20 years and what it will do your ink?

Most people only think about 5 years ahead when they do things like this. How will you explain to your grandkids that there is a flaming skull emblazoned on your back? " Wow...Grandpa was a bad ass..."

All silly examples...just to make you laugh, but a tat is one of the most persoanl things you can do to your transitory layer. It really needs to be thought out. I started planning mine five years ago and I still havenet commited to it because Im looking for "just the right thing"..it's almost time though.

An Ivy tendril ( Celtci Symbol of Fidelity) that starts at the upper arm, wraps around the shoulder and trails down the chest. 1 leaf for each year of faith in marriage...even if we get divorced, it will still be a testament to my love for her and the idea that I can be proud of my love.

It can also be made lomger for each new year. Been designing it for a while now.

Awww. Come on, you KNOW you really want one of them scenes from Heavy Metal, with all the naked chickies in it. That would be smashing. Best to get full chest, and 2 sleeves worth, so the grand kids know you were the #1 bad ass in ur time, lol.

Ink on both arms. Right arm has my kids initials over the Lakota protection symbol, left is a symboligy of my years in the service, three strands of barbed wire for the three years active duty, five barbs per strand for the five years in the NG, all over a single feather symbolizing my "passing into manhood". I'm good with both until I don't have to worry about ink anymore

Money is the main reason I don't have more. I always wanted one of my friends to start tatooing, phenominal artist, but never got into it. I have seen a guy with 3 crossed out names and one that wasn't crossed out. Three ex-wifes, turns out. I did ask, "Didn't learn your lesson the first time?" He said,"Nope" and stood up to get another drink. I love bikers, they crack me up

I am sure. I have 26 hours in my right upper arm.. it goes completely around from top of my shoulder to almost my elbow.

My artist had I bike that needed lots of work, so we traded out most of it. I fixed his bike and he hooked me up with some ink.. Normally when he works on me I pay by time not by the piece... $100. bucks gets me about 5-6 hours in the chair and that is plenty at one time believe me.

I only have about $200.00 bucks in my right arm.

yea, that's a good price KS. My artist charges me 75.00 bucks an hour but after 4 or 5 hours, he usually cuts an hour or two off. I agree with you KS. You spend 4 or 5 hours in the chair you are more than ready to call it a day.

i've been in the tattoo biz my whole life. i'm fully covered except for my face/head, neck, and hands (like to be able to wear long sleeves/pants and blend in with the normals occasionally...undercover tattoo-ninja style).

it's not as big of a deal these days.

I have five. One in my ear, another on my chest (that stung a bit) and two on my left upper arm and one on the other, all to do with airsport and flying. I want another on the right upper arm and it will be an eagle. Got my first aged late forties and my eagle will be in my early seventies.

My parents always told me that if I ever got a tattoo the police will always be able to identify me. I often wonder what the hell they thought I was going to do.

No ink. Never cared for it. My wife was buggin me to get one for a while till I came up with a good Idea for one and lets just say she don't bug me no more. May still get it some day if I can put everthing together and grow some balls.

I wouldn't get a tattoo if one of you paid for it.

Take a look at the ingredients in tattoo ink sometime. Many of them use Thimerosal as a preservative, which is half mercury, half organic compound. It's also used to keep vaccines sterile, and has a lot of people concerned to the point they won't take vaccines, myself included.

The really bright red, yellow, blues and green inks contain heavy metals like cadmium to get that level of color intensity. More poison.

There is also a high correlation between getting tattoos and contracting Hepatitis C.

If y'all want them, knock yourself out, but it's crazy to me to care about the safety of your still and then put that shite in your body.
