Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.

I have done hours of research into my new hobby. However I have a few questions mabey someone could help me out with. First, Is there anything I need to be aware of with my new still... special care, preparation before starting, ect. I dont want to damage it with a newbie mistake. Second, what type of burner do I need? Will a low pressure burner like the ones built along side a BBQ pit (for baked beans or whatever) be big enough? Or do I need a high pressure setup like the Bayou Classic. Third, what is a good starter recipe? There are several here on this site, just dont know where to start! Something easy to get my hands on, and my mind around the basic process.
