Lurker No More

Time to fulfill my New Year's resolution to stop lurking and start getting active here on the forum. I don't currently have any working equipment, but I'm currently sourcing parts for a flute (of some type) build. Looking forward to joining in on some of the great discussions around here.

Welcome RayDean. A flute is a pretty ambitious first build. But I guess if you get it right you'd never need to build anything else.

Thanks for the welcomes fellas. I know that a flute can be an ambitious project, but I've got a decent amount of mechanical aptitude, work in the refining industry (I think I've got most of the distillation stuff down pat), I'm plenty anal about doing stuff right, and as a bonus, I'm in no real hurry! I'm sure I'll be ready to get in a hurry as soon as I see that big chunk of 4" copper pipe at my door (hint, hint, izzy!)

Looking forward to jumping into many of the discussions here on HD!

If you've got some apptitude for the fabrication,,,,,,you very well may save yourself some cash in the long run by going for a flute build out of the starting gate.

And all the time in the world to learn to drive it.
