My copper pot still

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

My copper pot still

Good day to everyone!
Here is a link to pics of my setup:

i don't know anything about the rig's history, other than the fact that I got it from someone who had been using it for a number of years prior to selling. Any information that someone may have would be great! thanks!

i ran it first with some ginger-apple wine and got a really nice, really clean drink - which, of course, got me psyched to run everything that i have fermenting down in the basement!

one question, the still is smaller than my fermenting vessel. i'll be making mostly whiskys and such. (and random other stuff, as well, but mostly whiskys.) my plan is to run the majority of my wash (prolly about 2/3 of it) as a hard fast stripping run, and then add the stripped to the remaining wash and do a slower spirit run watching my cuts. sound about right?
thanks!
