going bigger the easy way

i got a 15 gallon keg with 2in copper coming out with a tri clamp. i picked up a second one but instear of buying anothe piece of 2in, i think im gunna just use a 2in to 3/4in reducer, to a 90', then drill a hole for a couple into the existing 2 in and sodering. its alot cheaper and faster.

15 Gall is good; so is a 2" column if you are refluxin depending on the height of a 2" packed column. Pot stills don't need a 2" riser but are happy if it's there.

There's no easy way but a big boiler sure is better within reason.

theres been times i have packed the colume but its just easier to run without. i have a small pony keg that i put all distillate in and run normally in the hundred seventy proof range. i just swap kegs around depending on what im running. i love the tri clamp! makes it a hell of a lot easier
