vodka from dried, bulk potato starch
I've read with interest the trials and tribulations over the use of bulk potatoes to make vodka. Has anyone tried using dried, bulk, processed potato starch? The cost is approx. $1.00 US per pound. Please provide me with any insights you may have.

Tater, if I get pure, 100% potato starch from a commercial source, no messin with boilin taters, strainin the mash etc isn't that a good thing? just won't to know if there's anything I need to consider.tater wrote:saw on history channel other day that it took 15 lbs taters to make fifth likker

starch is starch no mater where it comes from. so if you convert to sugar of? that is just what you have.
very little or no flavors,so unless it is real cheep then it is not worth it.
