Hi everyone,
My wife and I are new to the distilling hobby.
Thanks for a great informative site!
We built a 30 gallon stainless drum with a copper reflux. Have not tried to run it yet. Should we clean with vinegar and water and can you give us more details on the cleaning process?
Thanks!

Re: New Still Cleaning question
Welcome.
Run a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water, then rinse everything with clean water. Next you want to do a sacrificial alcohol run. You can make up a simple sugar wash for this or you can buy a few jugs of cheap white wine and run that. If you go the wine route, try to find some in glass Jugs. They will come in handy later.
