Just wanted to poke out and say hello to everybody. I'm an old hand at putting different alcohols back but new to distilling.
I've gotta thank everyone whose posted here. The content in this forum is A-1.... here in Canada though that's really Eh-1.
I've been reading this site for about a week and a half, as well as some other sites. Pretty soon I'll have a sufficient knowledge base to get started here at home.
Once again thanks to all for the great input.

Re: Good day from the prairies...
Welcome to the forum and nice to see another prairie jumper here.
I too come from the great province of Saskatchewan where lots of my cousins and uncles made a bit of the old white lightening. r vweI now live on the west coast where the weather is nicer.
Good luck on your new hobbies and take time to do the necessary reading before you jump into this new hobbie.

Welcome - I'm from 'the center of the universe', but my wife is a prarie girl. I'm so jealous of the access to free grain you must have!
Always happy to support my Canuckistan bretheren - give me a shout if you need anything....

Re: Good day from the prairies...
Welcome HH!!
Lotsa good stuff here.
I think the prairies have a beauty all-of-their-own - a fascinating part of the Gr8WN.
Lived in Vancouver many years ago - the setting is second-to-none (including Basle, Bern etc.) on the winter days when you can see those mountains.
Back East (real east) is where I choose to remain. The Snow may get on my tits.... but, at least, the glorious winter sunshine can give them quite a tan.
