ok time for me to start asking for some real help. i've made 7 batchs of KS's sweetfeed. frist 4 were with bakers yeast. but 2 six gallon buckets, just dont cut it. so i moved up to a 20 gallon bucket . frist run was 25 lbs of sugar, 5 one gallon bags of sweetfeed ,and 3 packet of champagne yeast . worked , but took for ever to get fg down to .990 .next batch was a sour mash. 25 more pounds of sugar, and 5 gallons of backset. this turn out nice, so nice we've run out and everyone wants more . I'm running the brewhaus reflux II in pot still mode , super slow in long single runs.
now on to my question , how much distiller's yeast for a 20 gallon ferment? quarter cup sound about right?
how can i be thirsty ? i drank so much beer last night.
