Would just be spendy as hell for the pot only approach. But that would be your start up money used toward a real keeper.

o yeah i am taking my time ane end of the day im replacing this shitty pot still i waisted money on and builfing a decent one and then just going to read and learn about these bubble plates prob take me half a year to get all the pieces anyway not on a good income hear

Sorry guys, I know I've been AWOL for awhile, but you gotta understand how much fun I've been having running this flute!!! I've done a steam run, vinegar run, sugar wash for final cleaning, and I'm now on my 3rd generation of UJSSM! My wife is gonna shit when she gets the natural gas bill! I'll get back to posting pics of my build and answering any questions.
Okay, I know it's jumping the gun since I still need to finish posting build pics... but here's a sloppy video I shot while running my 3rd generation UJSSM two days ago. Be gentle...she's still a work in progress.
You could be right rock. This was early in the run with lots of fire and the dephleg in full reflux. This was on the top glass and it tends to flood until I balance the burner and reflux out.

That's definatly flooding, which is one reason, I used the weir plate system on the Flute 2 build.
You could adjust the height of the plate, as it seems to be level with the sight glass, it would probably be better 1/2"-3/4"below the sight glass, you could adjust this with the threaded rod on your plate assembly.

Thanks OD. It's been a fun build. You are right that the plates are too high. I'm not going to move them lower until after my baby goes under the knife next week. I've ordered the parts for my new sight glasses, so I'll adjust the plate tree as soon as I get those installed. It'll also give me a chance to verify my downcomer/ weir cap clearances. I'm not too concerned, because all plates hold a proper level during normal operation.
