Putting older posts here. Going to try to keep the novice forum pruned about 90 days work. The 'good' old stuff is going to be put into appropriate forums.

Can I use sugar wash feints for ujssmm?

Post by Tuckerroach »

I just ran my first run of sugar wash through my 4 gal. pot still. I did not know about this site before I fermented, so I used sugar, water, and the dreaded turbo yeast. Since it was my first run, would you recommend trowing it out? I did do a cleaning run to clean the still out, then a sugar wash. As I have been reading more, I am learning more. I want to try ujssmm next. My question is can I add my first run (of the sugar wash) to the ujssmm? Also, I have a gallon of wash left over. Should I just mix my first run in with the leftover wash, add water and run it through my still again. Any help or help finding the right place to look for the answers, would be great.

Two cleaning runs are recommended for a new still - a vinegar and water run and an ethanol run -
