Help
Hi ok I know how to sweat pipe but I had this bright idea to install siteglass's in my 2" copper tower.....just two made of brass with lens O rings and such but they are leaking at the base....looking toward the boiler I have resoldered over and over with bad results each time Stop..... anybody think I should get this fixed by someone that maybe could silver it better or any other ideas like cut it out and splice another piece in. I saw what I needed and have built a great reflux....I know I know if it ain't broke don't fix it....I'm ChefSteve and I love to recheck stuff,Thanks

Re: Help
IMHO when you are dealing with dissimilar alloys you are best to braze them with 45% solder and using the correct flux.......I can do it with 15% silver but it is much easier with 45%.................

Re: Help
Thanks, that pretty much explains what is going on, like when I had the bottom of my tower silver brazed for the keg addapter. I'm not too proud to let someone else help with the right equipment also.
