Bokabob still design

Post by steelheader26 »

Steelheader26 here (Win) My question is, Rite now I am in the process of rounding up material to build a Boka inline still (straight). The problem I have with the science is, the 1/4" hole at the top of the condenser marked "atmosphere". It seems to me that all or at least some of your vapor distillate would be lost venting into the atmosphere, I understand the reason behind putting it there to avoid pressure build up, but again would you not loose you quarry ? Please respond anyone with the wisdom to help me understand why or at least how this works. AND BEFORE ANYONE SAYS TO SEARCH THE SITE FOR THE INFO ON THIS, let me make it clear, that I have searched every which way and sideways on here, and even on the numerous design plans for this column to no conclusion. Please help!
