My regular carry is a 22 mag 1 5/8" NAA with a folding stock. Could hide it under one of your magazines.

I got a ruger LCP380 for regular carry. I would walk with one hell of a limp if i tried to carry it.
Forget conceal.

MK, I got the S&W500 with a 2 3/4 barrel. Shoot, you can shoot that bad boy with one hand! Now that LCP will rip off your fingers shooting 50 rounds through it! Now I carry a Glock19 with Extreme shock ammo in it! Got a Tomcat 32 with the same ammo and bought a 100 lbs of clay to see what that ammo would do. Now get this, 32acp put a hole in the clay on in pack 2" dia. all the way through. This stuff was made for air marshal's to carry on airplanes.

Re: Desert Eagle 50AE
I was looking at getting a s&w 500. Dont want the short barrel though. Im looking for long range. I think Im going to settle on a s&w 460. Shoots 45colt, 454 casul, and sw460 rounds. ballistics are alot flatter than the 500 they say. Im dickin with the gun shop now on a used one. The thing is mint. They want $1050. Gotta come down a bit for this boy.

My wife did ok with it. I couldn't get her to wear a bikini while we were shooting though.MuleKicker wrote:Did some shooting today. After months of coaxing, got my wife to bark a couple rounds off with the 50AE. Yup, a couple she got a pretty good kick out of the first round and had to do it again. Pretty hard to get her to do it after watching all those utoobe videos of people getting smacked in the face. Something about chicks and big guns....mmmmmmmm

I let my MIL shoot it (bikini prohibited). I was lucky she didn't split her head wide open.

They had one of them rugers in the case too. I don't like the grip. feels goofy in my hand. My dad has a ruger 357 with about the same grip and after shooting a few times the trigger guard is cutting into my middle finger so bad i don't want to shoot anymore. i don't like it.
what kind of range do you get with that scope on it mrbrown? looks bad ass.
Gonna have to try the bikini thing next time. that'll get my jollies

I'm comfortable to about 75 yds. I think i can do better but i don't shoot it much, mostly due to cost of ammo. I have a good 1/2 inch between the trigger guard & my F.U. finger so i dont have any problem there. I actualy bought the scope from natchez shootyers supplies that FreeMountianHermit gave the link to. They have pretty good prices on some stuff.

Re: Desert Eagle 50AE
I know. Ammo is a killer. Im looking into casting my own bullets and loading my own. Mostly for target practice. I would spring for a good box of hollow points for hunting. I know that bullet casting is an art in itself, but I have unlimited access to wheel weights and Figger I could load my own pretty cheap. Im thinking on doubling up on hobbies. I could occupy my time it the garage while the still is bubbling casting/ reloading ammo..... Boy that could be a bitch if the law walked in

Re: Desert Eagle 50AE
Picked up the S&W 460 today. One fine hand cannon if I do say so. Damn accurate too. Trigger is set perfect right out of the box. Made it simple to hit 5 for 5 in the pie plate free standing at 75yds. Only thing, you want to make sure you have your mouth closed when ya fire, cuz it will make yer teeth chatter
Now... Time to sit on the back porch and wait for a wabbit...

MK, quality commercially cast bullets certainly can help you offset some of the cost of factory ammo. One brand worthy of consideration would be: http://www.beartoothbullets.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
Hear ya go, MK: http://www.beartoothbullets.com/bulletselect/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
They have a forum as well & customer service is great.
