Putting older posts here. Going to try to keep the novice forum pruned about 90 days work. The 'good' old stuff is going to be put into appropriate forums.

condensing vapors to liquids

Post by Infinitebrainspace »

in context of a Potstill
when the vapor travels through the worm, do the heavier (water) vapors condense first, or seperately from the ethanol vapors, OR do all the vapors condense into liquid EXCACTLY at the same time?

If I were to cool the vapors to a given temperature (say 180 degrees F) would the water condense, and leave the ethanol / methanol / acetone / etc... in vapor form?
My worm is not plugged, kinked, running up hill, or stuck in a cats ass.
although that last one might stop the gurgling noise...
