I got 92% from my still and decided that the proportion of this 92% stuff needs to be 44% of the total for me to get 40% ABV vodka. So, I added 700 ml of 92% product to 900 ml of water and it now measures 60% on the alcohometer.
I couldn't make a mistake with the volumes - 2 x 250 ml beakers to the 250 line and 1 x 250 ml beaker filled to 200 ml and it was in 3 separate beakers. This was all of the product from the run. The water was measured with a 1 liter beaker with 20 ml gradations filled to 900 ml. The result is in a 2 liter container and looks pretty damn close to 1.6 liters.
Am I not counting this right? Is it not 700 ml of 92% to 900 ml water?
Thanks
