distilled water
hi can anyone tell me if cutting down you mix to 40% with distilled water gives it more a vodka flavor

Not real sure why you posted in the graveyard?
You need to make a vodka to get a good vodka. Starting with a ferment recipe for a vodka. Then running it properly in your still. Then diluting it to 40%.
What your idea of a vodka may be different then that of others. Some want their vodka to have a nice mouthfeel and a hint of grain taste. Others want it to be tasteless and oderless what is general called a neutral.
Now you can reflux just about anything to the point there isn't much flavor if any there. But depending on what you like. It mite not be a vodka you like.
Dilute a portion of it and see. Best thing I can tell you.
