Advice on what to do with a stalled wash please. Wash is 30 liters from 30 kgs of very ripe pureed gold kiwifruit thinned out with an extra 15% water and 400gs of sugar. Hard to measure SG because the wash was so thick but gold kiwis are sweet. PH was good . Started it off with 8g of MA33 recommended for acid fruit ( and good to work 25 liters of wash) and some nutrients . Mixed it up in 3 x 10 litre buckets and then tipped it all into a 100 litre barrel with a tight lid and an airlock. Set it on a heatpad and wrapped it in a sleeping bag.
Bubbled merrily next day but I got home from work today and the airlock has stopped.
I haven't looked in, stirred it up or measured temp or SG yet. I just wanted to make this post now before turning in for the night and hoped someone on the awake side of world might give their thoughts on what to do tomorrow.
A few things I might have done better are to put the yeast in with a little warm water, diluted the sugar in hot water before adding it, given it all a really good stir to aerate it and gotten the wash warmer before starting. What to do tomorrow ?
