I can remember growing up and watching my granddad malting his corn in a burlap bag that it came in. He just placed it buy the cookstove during the winter in a #3 wash tub and kept it moist then to dry it he would spead it out on the quilting frame my grandmother had hanging from the ceiling in the living room and grind it in a old giant coffee mill it was a family afair. The home place were i grew up was paid for in shine oh the fun .
