Quick Question on Material

Post by moons »

So i ran across the problem, i found bulk heads but the are not ALL copper they have brass on them http://www.menards.com/main/search.html ... Hierarchy=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

Isn't there a way to treat brass like dunking it in vinegar?
And which of the two 3/4 fitting do you recommend? (if its safe that is)

search for pickeling brass. That is treating it in a vinegar solution to remove lead traces.

I have a all copper 3 inch pot still head on a fifteen gallon pot and have thought about buying a 3 inch reflux head . Where you buy your 3 inch reflux head from ? Brewhaus or Mile High and I have read about both reflux towers and want to get the best one of the two. Or would not buy either one and put a thumper on my pot still or not do anything at all ? Thanks, Blue Ridge Parkway
