Stuf-Fit Copper Mesh

Post by cwalker »

Just ordered a few rolls of this stuff. They guy assures me its 100% copper(will test upon arrival). It is also "2ply", had to ask cause the pic dosent really show it. 6" wide rolls.

And the ebay'ers actual website. Seems legit. BBB accredited.

If the mesh is indeed stuf-fit brand, its claimed to be 100% copper.

A post I dug up here in hd........

according to Ron Allen of allen special products the product described as stuff-it from allen special products is produced by electrolytic refining meaning that the end product is purer than .999 fine.

Just wondering if anyone has and first hand experience using this stuff and what sorta results did ya get?

Nice...gives me a bit more hope that this stuff will turn out to be suitable

I would have ordered from brewshop but the shipping just kills me. Maybe its casue im in Canada but for 2 rolls of mesh..

$27.90 for the mesh
and another
$29.35 for shipping

Got 3 rolls of the ebay stuff for $44 shipped

Was the same problem when I was looking for a ferruel and triclamp. Had to source somewere else.

BTW http://www.glaciertanks.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

Got 2 triclamps, 2 PTFE gaskets, and 2 Ferruels shipped to canada for $42.. would have cost me a couple pennys under $70 from the site you mention. Was the same all around for the popular brew shops.

I had the same problem with brewhaus. I asked about high shipping costs in an email and they said they just use the ups and usps rates and don't make any money on shipping. They said the get the rates directly from the server. Out of curiosity, i just went and put a small, light item in my cart and checked the rate. $10.06 to ship a 1/2 inch plastic tee by ups and $5.90 to ship it usps. Draw your own conclusion.
